Ingredients
1 pound cooked, shredded chicken (rotisserie, homemade, or canned)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
2 packages crescent roll dough (8 count each)
1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of chicken soup
10 to 10.5 ounces milk
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
Optional: other cheeses, vegetables like broccoli or bell peppers, sour cream or ranch dressing for extra flavor
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a bowl, combine half of the mozzarella cheese with the shredded chicken, garlic powder, and oregano.
3. Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles.
4. Place about 1/3 cup of the chicken mixture on the wide end of each crescent triangle.
5. Roll up each triangle from the wide end to the narrow tip and place rolls seam side down in a greased baking dish.
6. In a saucepan over low heat, combine cream of chicken soup, milk, and the remaining mozzarella cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
7. Pour the warm sauce evenly over the arranged crescent rolls.
8. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes until rolls are golden and bubbly.
9. Optional: For extra browning, broil briefly after baking or bake rolls separately before adding the sauce for a crispier bottom.
10. Let cool slightly before serving.
