Description

πŸ“ Delight in a light and creamy dessert that’s bursting with the fresh flavor of ripe strawberries.
🍨 This Easy Fresh Strawberry Mousse is simple to prepare and perfect for a refreshing treat any time of year.

Ingredients

– 12Β½ ounces (3/4 pound) strawberries for the fresh, vibrant base of the mousse

– Β½ cup granulated sugar to balance the tartness and enhance the natural sweetness

– 1 cup cold cream (whole, heavy, or whipping cream with at least 30% fat content) to achieve that airy, creamy texture

– Extra strawberries for topping to add a fresh, decorative finish when serving

Instructions

1-Preparing the Strawberry Base: First, wash and slice the 12Β½ ounces of strawberries. Then, puree them with the Β½ cup of granulated sugar in a blender or food processor until smooth. This step brings out the strawberries’ natural sweetness and creates the flavorful base of your mousse.

2-Whipping and Combining the Cream: Next, reserve Β½ cup of the puree and set it aside. In a cold bowl, beat the 1 cup of cold cream until stiff peaks form, which gives the mousse its light and airy texture. Gently fold the remaining strawberry puree into the whipped cream, being careful not to deflate the mixture.

3-Assembling and Chilling: Divide the reserved Β½ cup of puree among four small or medium glasses. Top each glass with the mousse mixture and refrigerate for about 1 hour or longer if you prefer a firmer texture. Once chilled, serve with fresh sliced strawberries on top for a beautiful presentation.

Notes

🍯 Substitute sugar with honey or maple syrup for a different sweetness.
❄️ Use frozen strawberries pureed without thawing or drain and pat dry if thawed to avoid excess water.
πŸ’§ For extra firmness, dissolve 1 tablespoon gelatin in 2 tablespoons milk over low heat and blend with the whipped cream mixture before folding.
