Instructions

1-Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C).

2-In a 9Γ—13 inch baking dish: pour the strawberry pie filling and fold in the fresh sliced strawberries.

3-In a separate bowl: blend the softened cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract with a hand mixer until smooth.

4-Spread the cream cheese mixture: evenly over the strawberry filling.

5-Sprinkle the dry vanilla cake mix: evenly on top of the cheesecake layer without stirring it in.

6-Drizzle the melted salted butter: over the cake mix evenly; it doesn’t have to cover the surface completely, as it will spread while baking.

7-Bake the dish uncovered: for 45 to 50 minutes, or until the top turns golden brown and crispy.

8-Allow the cake to cool: for 10 to 15 minutes before serving. It is best enjoyed slightly warm, often paired with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
