Description

β˜• Enjoy a cozy cup of Spiced Almond Hot Chocolate that combines the nutty flavor of almond milk with warming cinnamon and nutmeg.
🌰 This recipe is perfect for chilly days, offering a rich and comforting drink with a creamy whipped topping.

Ingredients

– 4 cups (960 ml) unsweetened almond milk forms the creamy base

– 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon adds warmth and spice

– 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom brings a unique aromatic depth

– 1/8 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg offers a subtle, sweet hint

– 12 oz (340 g) high-quality semi-sweet chocolate provides rich chocolate flavor

– A pinch of salt enhances the overall taste

– 1/2 cup heavy cream for topping with whipped cream

– 1 tablespoon sugar to sweeten the whipped cream

– Slivered almonds (amount as desired) for garnish and added texture

– Chocolate curls (amount as desired) for extra appearance and crunch

Instructions

1-First, pour the 4 cups of unsweetened almond milk into a saucepan and add the 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom, and 1/8 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg. Heat this mixture over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally to let the flavors blend.

2-Next, stir in the 12 oz of high-quality semi-sweet chocolate until it’s fully melted and smooth. Remove the saucepan from the heat and add a pinch of salt to balance the flavors. While that’s cooling, whip the 1/2 cup heavy cream with 1 tablespoon sugar until it forms stiff peaks for a delicious topping.

3-Finally, divide the hot chocolate into 4 cups and top each one with a dollop of the whipped cream. If you want to make it fancy, garnish with slivered almonds and chocolate curls. Each serving comes in at around 643 kcal, making it a rich treat that’s worth every sip.

Notes

πŸ”₯ Use high-quality chocolate for a richer and smoother hot chocolate.
❄️ Be careful not to boil the almond milk to prevent curdling and bitter taste.
πŸ₯› Whip the cream just before serving for the freshest topping consistency.
