Description

🍪 Enjoy a quick and easy treat with this Single Serve Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe, perfect for satisfying cravings without the wait.
🔥 Made with browned butter for a rich, nutty flavor and gooey texture in every bite.

Ingredients

– 3 tablespoons Unsalted butter Creates richness and softness

– 4 tablespoons Packed brown sugar Adds moisture and caramel notes

– 1 tablespoon Granulated sugar Provides sweetness and structure

– 1 Egg yolk Binds ingredients for a gooey center

– 6 tablespoons All purpose flour Forms the base and structure

– 1/8 teaspoon Baking soda Helps with rising and texture

– 1/4 teaspoon Salt Balances flavors

– 1/4 teaspoon Vanilla extract Enhances overall taste

– 3 tablespoons Chocolate chips Delivers bursts of chocolate

Instructions

1-Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.

2-Brown the 3 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium heat, stirring constantly until it foams and turns a golden brown with a nutty aroma, then remove from heat and let it cool.

3-In a small bowl, mix the cooled browned butter with 4 tablespoons of packed brown sugar and 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar until well combined. Stir in 1 egg yolk and 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth.

4-Add 6 tablespoons of all purpose flour, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and 1/8 teaspoon of baking soda, mixing just until combined with no visible flour streaks. Gently fold in 3 tablespoons of chocolate chips without overmixing.

5-Shape the dough into two large cookies or four smaller ones and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

6-Bake for about 11 minutes until the edges are golden brown and the centers look puffed but still gooey.

7-Let the cookies cool on the sheet before digging in for the best texture.

Notes

🎯 Measure ingredients precisely, as the small batch size makes errors more impactful.
🥄 Mix the dough only until ingredients are combined; overmixing leads to dry, tough cookies.
⏲️ Slightly underbake the cookies, as they will continue cooking while cooling on the sheet, ensuring gooey centers.
