Description

🐟 Enjoy elegant, bite-sized appetizers with these Smoked Salmon Puff Pastry Bites featuring creamy chive cream cheese and fresh dill.
πŸ₯ Perfect for parties or easy entertaining, this recipe combines flaky pastry with rich, flavorful smoked salmon for a deliciously simple treat.

Ingredients

– 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed

– 7.5 ounces (about 213 grams) whipped chive cream cheese, softened

– 3 ounces (about 85 grams) smoked salmon, roughly chopped

– 1 tablespoon fresh dill, plus extra for garnish

Instructions

1-Getting started with salmon puffs: First, preheat your oven to 400Β°F (205Β°C) and lay the thawed puff pastry sheet flat, pricking it all over with a fork to keep it from puffing up too much. Cut the pastry into 25 even squares and press each one into a 24-section mini muffin tin using a tool like a cocktail muddler.

2-In a medium bowl, mix the whipped chive cream cheese, chopped smoked salmon, and 1 tablespoon of fresh dill until everything combines well. Evenly spoon this filling into the pastry cups in the tin.

3-Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until the pastry turns golden and the cream cheese browns a bit, then let them cool in the tin for 5 minutes before moving to a serving platter. Garnish with extra fresh dill if you like, and you’re set for a crowd-pleasing appetizer.

Notes

🧊 Ensure puff pastry is fully thawed before cutting and pressing into the muffin tin.
🐟 Use smoked salmon from the refrigerated section or substitute with finely chopped crab meat or shrimp.
πŸ’‘ Reheat leftovers in a toaster oven to maintain crispness and store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
