Ingredients
– 1 sheet of thawed puff pastry (cut into 25 squares, with 24 used for the puffs)
– 7.5 ounces of whipped chive cream cheese
– 3 ounces of roughly chopped smoked salmon
– 1 tablespoon of fresh dill
Instructions
1-Thaw one sheet of puff pastry and cut it into 25 squares, then press 24 of them into a mini muffin tin to form the bases.
2-In a bowl, stir together 7.5 ounces of whipped chive cream cheese, 3 ounces of roughly chopped smoked salmon, and 1 tablespoon of fresh dill until fully blended.
3-Evenly distribute the filling among the pastry cups in the mini muffin tin.
4-Bake the puffs at 400°F for 12 to 15 minutes, until the pastry turns golden brown and the cream cheese browns slightly.
5-Let the puffs cool for 5 minutes in the tin, then garnish with additional dill if desired before serving.
Notes
🧀 You can substitute regular cream cheese for whipped chive cream cheese if needed.
🦀 Try crab meat or shrimp instead of smoked salmon for a variation.
🌿 If fresh dill is unavailable, use 1 teaspoon of dried dill as a substitute.
