Description

๐ŸŽ Russian Apple Kvas is a refreshing traditional homemade drink packed with natural apple flavors and a slight fizz from fermentation.
โœจ This easy recipe offers a healthy beverage option that is enjoyable and perfect for warm days or family gatherings.


Ingredients

– 8 cups apple juice (fresh or concentrate)

– 1/2 cup white sugar

– 1/2 tablespoon active dry yeast

– 1/2 teaspoon dark molasses for color only

– 6 cups filtered water


Instructions

1-Fill the jar with 8 cups of apple juice.

2-Add 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 tablespoon yeast, and 1/2 teaspoon molasses, stirring until the sugar dissolves.

3-Pour in 6 cups of filtered water and mix gently.

4-Cover the jar with multiple layers of cheesecloth or a cotton cloth secured with a rubber band.

5-Let it stand at room temperature for 18 hours, then move it to the refrigerator.

6-Once chilled, remove the cloth and screw on a lid, but avoid sealing while warm to prevent pressure issues.

7-Serve it cold for the ultimate refreshment.

Notes

๐Ÿฌ Adjust sugar amount between 4 to 8 tablespoons for sweetness preference; 7 tablespoons (1/2 cup) is ideal.
