Description
🥧 This pecan pie bark transforms the classic pecan pie flavors into a crunchy, handheld treat that’s perfect for gifting or snacking.
🍫 Easy to make with simple ingredients and no candy thermometer needed, it offers a rich nutty sweetness with a quick prep and bake time.
Ingredients
13 graham crackers
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups pecan halves, roughly chopped
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 to 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a rimmed baking sheet (about 15×10 inches) with aluminum foil and lightly grease with butter.
2. Arrange graham crackers to fit the pan, breaking as needed to cover the bottom.
3. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine butter, brown sugar, pecans, and salt. Bring mixture to a boil, stirring constantly.
4. Maintain a boil for 2 minutes while stirring continuously to blend ingredients well.
5. Remove saucepan from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
6. Immediately pour the hot pecan mixture evenly over the graham crackers and spread to cover all pieces.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes until bubbly and golden.
8. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely.
9. Once cooled, break into pieces and serve or store.
Notes
⏲️ Stir the boiling mixture constantly to prevent burning and achieve a smooth texture.
🌰 Roughly chop pecans to release flavor but keep satisfying crunch.
❄️ Allow the bark to cool fully before breaking to ensure clean pieces and prevent crumbling.
