Ingredients

Scale

1 1/2 ounces silver tequila

1 ounce orange liqueur (such as triple sec)

3/4 ounce freshly-squeezed lime juice

Optional sweetener: agave nectar or simple syrup, to taste

Ice cubes

Lime wedge and kosher salt for rimming the glass

3 cups silver tequila

2 cups orange liqueur

1 1/2 cups freshly-squeezed lime juice

Optional sweetener: agave nectar or simple syrup, to taste

Ice

Lime wedges and kosher salt for rimming the glasses

Instructions

1-First: rim the glass with a lime wedge and kosher salt; set it aside to let that salty edge set.

2-Next: combine 1 1/2 ounces silver tequila, 1 ounce orange liqueur, and 3/4 ounce freshly-squeezed lime juice with ice cubes in a cocktail shaker; shake it hard for about 10 seconds until it’s nice and cold.

3-Then: taste the mix and add sweetener like agave nectar if you want it less tart.

4-After that: fill your prepared glass with fresh ice and strain the shaken mixture over it for a smooth pour.

5-Finally: garnish with a lime slice and serve right away one serving makes about 3.5 ounces of pure refreshment.

6-For a bigger batch: try the pitcher version: salt the rims of glasses first, then mix 3 cups silver tequila, 2 cups orange liqueur, and 1 1/2 cups lime juice with ice in a large pitcher; stir well and adjust sweetness as needed before serving over ice with lime slices.

Notes

🌿 Use freshly squeezed lime juice for the best flavor.
🌢️ Add jalapeño or serrano slices to create a spicy version.
❄️ Use larger ice cubes to reduce dilution and keep your margarita chilled longer.
