Instructions

1-Preheat oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and lightly flour a 9×13-inch baking pan to prevent sticking and ensure smooth removal.

2-Prepare cake base: In a large bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, melted unsalted butter, and one egg. Mix until the batter is thick and slightly sticky.

3-Form base layer: Press the cake batter firmly and evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan, creating a solid firm base.

4-Make cream cheese layer: In a separate bowl or using a stand mixer, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

5-Mix topping: Add the remaining two eggs, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar gradually to the cream cheese. Beat until fully smooth and thoroughly combined.

6-Assemble and bake: Pour the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cake base, spreading gently to cover completely. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and set but still slightly jiggly in the center.

7-Cool and serve: Remove from oven and allow the cake to cool at room temperature for at least 30 minutes. The center will continue to set as it cools, bringing out the perfect gooey texture. Slice and serve warm or chilled with a dusting of powdered sugar or dollop of whipped cream if desired.
