πŸͺ Easy to make and delightfully moist, they are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth with a refreshing twist.

Ingredients

– Β½ cup Unsalted butter for richness and moisture

– 1 (8-ounce) package Cream cheese for creaminess for the gooey texture

– 1 teaspoon Fresh lemon zest and 1 tablespoon Fresh lemon juice to infuse bright citrus flavor

– 1 Β½ cups Granulated sugar

– 2 Eggs

– 1 teaspoon Lemon extract

– 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

– 2 Β½ cups All-purpose flour

– 1 cup Powdered sugar, divided

– 3 teaspoons Baking powder

– Β½ teaspoon Salt

Instructions

1-In a large bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, cream cheese, fresh lemon zest, and fresh lemon juice until combined.

2-Add the granulated sugar and mix until creamy.

3-Beat in the eggs, lemon extract, and vanilla extract until the mixture is light and fluffy.

4-In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, Β½ cup of the powdered sugar, baking powder, and salt.

5-Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.

6-Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

7-Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

8-Scoop dough using 2 tablespoons per portion and form into balls.

9-Roll each dough ball thoroughly in the remaining Β½ cup of powdered sugar until well coated.

10-Place coated dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space for spreading.

11-Bake for 11 to 13 minutes.

12-Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

🧈 Ensure butter and cream cheese are at room temperature for easier mixing.
❄️ Chilling the dough makes it less sticky and easier to handle; coating hands with powdered sugar also helps.
πŸͺ For softer cookies, use parchment paper; for crispier edges, use a nonstick cookie sheet.
πŸ›οΈ Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week, refrigerate for up to 2 weeks, or freeze for up to 3 months.
