Description
β Enjoy a creamy and aromatic Lavender Latte that brings soothing floral notes to your daily coffee routine.
πΈ This delightful drink combines the richness of steamed milk with the subtle elegance of lavender syrup for a unique cafΓ© experience at home.
Ingredients
– 2 oz. espresso (double shot) for a strong coffee base
– 6 oz. steamed milk for a creamy texture, with whole milk offering the best foam or alternatives like oat, almond, coconut, or soy milk
– 1/2 to 1 oz. lavender syrup (approximately 1 to 2 tablespoons) adds the floral notes
– 1 cup sugar to sweeten the syrup
– 1 cup water as the base for the syrup
– 1/3 cup dried culinary-grade lavender buds to infuse the floral flavor
– 1 tablespoon vanilla bean paste or vanilla extract (optional) for extra depth if you want it
Instructions
1-To prepare lavender syrup: boil 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water, then remove from heat and add 1/3 cup dried lavender buds. Let it steep until cool, then strain out the flowers. Store the syrup in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 weeks.
2-Pour 1/2 to 1 oz. lavender syrup into a mug to build the base of your lavender latte.
3-Brew 2 oz. espresso, which is a double shot, for a strong coffee foundation.
4-Steam 6 oz. milk to create mostly microfoam with a small layer of foam, ensuring itβs creamy and ready to pour.
5-Pour the brewed espresso over the lavender syrup and stir gently to mix the flavors.
6-Add the steamed milk to the mug and top with foam for a finishing touch.
Notes
πΏ Homemade lavender syrup delivers the freshest flavor, though store-bought syrup can be a convenient alternative.
π₯ Substitute whole milk with oat, almond, coconut, or soy milk (preferably barista blends) for different textures and flavors.
βοΈ For a refreshing twist, try an iced lavender latte with espresso or cold brew, lavender syrup, and milk over ice.
