Description

๐Ÿซ Knock You Naked Bars provide a deliciously gooey caramel and peanut butter treat with a chocolatey cookie base, making for a satisfying snack.
๐Ÿช This recipe is perfect for a homemade indulgence that balances sweet flavors and a rich texture, ideal for sharing or enjoying solo.

Ingredients

– 2 ยผ cups all-purpose flour

– 1 teaspoon baking soda

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1 cup butter (softened)

– ยพ cup granulated sugar

– ยพ cup packed brown sugar

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 2 eggs (room temperature)

– 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

– 5 ounces evaporated milk

– 14 ounces caramels (individually wrapped, about 50 pieces)

– ยฝ cup peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)

Instructions

1-Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC): Grease a 9 x 13 inch pan to prevent sticking.

2-In a small bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt until well combined.

3-In a large bowl, beat softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until the mixture is creamy and smooth.

4-Beat in eggs one at a time, making sure each one mixes in fully before adding the next.

5-Gradually beat or stir in the flour mixture, then fold in chocolate chips for that extra touch.

6-Press half of the cookie dough evenly into the prepared pan to form the base.

7-Bake for 8-10 minutes, then take it out of the oven while itโ€™s still soft.

8-Meanwhile, melt caramels and evaporated milk in a double boiler or a small heatproof bowl over simmering water, stirring until smooth.

9-Stir peanut butter into the melted caramel mixture until itโ€™s fully mixed and smooth.

10-Spread the caramel-peanut butter mixture evenly over the partially baked cookie dough.

11-Drop spoonfuls of the remaining cookie dough over the caramel layer for the top.

12-Bake for another 15-20 minutes, or until the top turns light golden brown.

13-Let the bars cool completely in the pan before you slice them up.

Notes

๐Ÿฅš Use room temperature eggs for better incorporation.
๐Ÿซ Semi-sweet chocolate chips are recommended, but other types can be substituted.
๐Ÿฎ Cool bars completely before cutting to prevent the caramel from running.
๐Ÿ”ฅ Melt caramels using a heatproof bowl over simmering water if you don’t have a double boiler.
โ„๏ธ Freeze bars briefly before slicing for cleaner cuts.
