Description

🌞 Create the perfect refreshing summer dish that combines tender pasta with crisp vegetables in a zesty Italian dressing
πŸ₯— Impress your guests at picnics and potlucks with this make-ahead salad that tastes even better the next day

Ingredients

– 1 pound spaghetti noodles

– 1 green pepper, diced

– 1 red pepper, diced

– Β½ red onion, thinly sliced

– 1 cucumber, sliced

– 1 cup grape tomatoes, halved

– 2.25 ounce can sliced olives, drained

– Β½ cup cheddar cheese, cut into cubes

– ΒΌ cup additional cheese

– 1 tablespoon Salad Supreme seasoning

– 1 teaspoon garlic powder

– 16 ounces Italian dressing

Instructions

1-Cook spaghetti according to package instructions, seasoning the boiling water with one tablespoon kosher salt before adding the noodles. Stir often and cook until al dente, which usually takes around 8-10 minutes depending on the brand. Once done, drain and rinse the cooked pasta gently with cool water to stop it from overcooking and keep that perfect texture.

2-In a large bowl, combine the diced green and red peppers, sliced onion, cucumber, grape tomatoes, olives, and both cheeses for a colorful mix. Add the cooled spaghetti to this vegetable and cheese mixture, then sprinkle Salad Supreme seasoning and garlic powder over everything. Pour the Italian dressing over all the ingredients and toss gently to combine everything evenly, making sure each bite is full of taste. Finally, cover and refrigerate for at least two hours before serving to let the flavors blend together nicely.

Notes

πŸ₯’ To reduce raw onion pungency, soak sliced onions in ice water for a few minutes before adding to the salad
πŸ§€ Choose your favorite cheese varieties – mozzarella, gouda, or pepper jack work great as alternatives to cheddar
