Ingredients
– 8 oz American cheese slices
– 4 oz Cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese (cubed or grated)
– 2/3 cup milk
– 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream
– 3 tablespoons chopped canned jalapenos
– 2 to 3 tablespoons canned jalapeno juice
– 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
– 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
– 1/4 teaspoon chili pepper
Instructions
1-First, place the cheeses in a medium saucepan and melt them over low heat, stirring often to keep it even.
2-Next, pour in the 2/3 cup of milk and 1/3 cup of heavy whipping cream, whisking continuously until the mixture is smooth.
3-Add the 3 tablespoons of chopped canned jalapenos, 2 to 3 tablespoons of canned jalapeno juice, 1/4 teaspoon of ground cumin, 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper, and 1/4 teaspoon of chili pepper, then stir well.
4-Let it heat through for a few more minutes, adjusting thickness with extra milk if needed.
5-Finally, serve it up hot it’s best enjoyed right away, but you can prepare it in advance and reheat later.
