¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
2 cups powdered sugar
2 tablespoons honey
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 to 2 tablespoons peach puree (optional)
(Optional) 1 tablespoon milk

For Garnish:
Peach slices (fresh or canned)
Honey drizzle (optional)
Sugar crystals (optional)


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 12-cup muffin tin with liners.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
3. Beat butter and cream cheese together until smooth.
4. Add granulated sugar and beat until fluffy.
5. Incorporate eggs one at a time, beating after each addition.
6. Stir in vanilla extract, honey, and peach puree or preserves.
7. If using buttermilk, alternate adding it with dry ingredients to the wet mix, starting and ending with dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
8. Fill cupcake liners about 2/3 full. Optionally add a spoonful of peach preserves halfway, then cover with batter.
9. Bake for 18-22 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
10. Cool cupcakes in tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
