Description

🦐 This buttery honey‑garlic shrimp comes together in just 15 minutes, perfect for fast weeknight meals.
πŸ‹ Sweet honey, bright lemon, and garlicky buttery sauce make each bite a flavor‑packed delight.

Ingredients

– ΒΌ cup (β‰ˆ 55 g) unsalted butter, melted

– ΒΌ cup (β‰ˆ 85 g) honey

– 4 large garlic cloves, minced (about 2 tsp)

– 1 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice (β‰ˆ 15 30 ml)

– 1 Tbsp olive oil, divided (β‰ˆ 15 ml)

– 21 oz (β‰ˆ 600 g) raw shrimp or prawns, peeled and deveined

– Salt, to taste

– Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

– 4 thin lemon slices (for garnish)

– 1 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley (β‰ˆ 3 g)

Instructions

1-First, prepare all ingredients: Peel and devein the 21 oz of raw shrimp, mince the 4 large garlic cloves, and measure out the butter, honey, and lemon juice. This sets you up for smooth cooking. Heat ΒΌ cup of melted unsalted butter in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.

2-Next, make the sauce: Stir in the ΒΌ cup of honey, 1 2 Tbsp of fresh lemon juice, and minced garlic; cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Remove half of the sauce to a small bowl and set it aside. Add 1 tsp of the divided olive oil to the pan.

3-Then, sear the shrimp in batches: Lay half of the shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2 minutes per side until opaque, then transfer to a plate. Wipe the skillet with a paper towel, add the remaining olive oil, and repeat with the second batch.

4-Finally, combine everything: Return all shrimp to the pan, pour in the reserved sauce, and toss to coat. Season with salt and pepper to taste, heat for another minute, then sprinkle with 1 Tbsp of chopped fresh parsley and arrange 4 thin lemon slices on top. Serve immediately for the best taste!

Notes

🌿 Swap parsley for rosemary or thyme for a different aromatic note.
🍀 Cook shrimp in small batches and wipe the pan between batches to prevent overcrowding and achieve a better sear.
πŸ§„ Fresh garlic provides the brightest flavor; jarred garlic works in a pinch.
