Description

πŸ– This Homemade BBQ Sauce brings bold, rich flavor with just simple ingredients you likely have on hand.
πŸ”₯ Perfect for grilling or dipping, it adds a smoky, tangy boost to your favorite dishes with minimal effort.

Ingredients

– 1 1/2 cups tomato ketchup

– 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar

– 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce

– 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar

– 2 tablespoons yellow mustard

– 1 tablespoon paprika (or to taste)

– 2 teaspoons onion powder

– 1 teaspoon ground black pepper (or to taste)

– 4 minced garlic cloves

– 1/2 cup water

Instructions

1-In a medium saucepan, combine all the ingredients: 1 1/2 cups tomato ketchup, 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar, 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce, 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar, 2 tablespoons yellow mustard, 1 tablespoon paprika, 2 teaspoons onion powder, 1 teaspoon ground black pepper, 4 minced garlic cloves, and 1/2 cup water. Bring this mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally to mix everything well. Then, reduce the heat and let it simmer uncovered for about 30 minutes until it thickens, giving it a good stir now and then to avoid any sticking.

2-After simmering, taste the sauce and tweak the seasonings if needed maybe a bit more paprika for smokiness or extra black pepper for kick. Once it’s done, take it off the heat and let it cool completely before you use or store it. For the best taste, pop it in the fridge for at least one hour to let the flavors settle in nicely.

Notes

🌢️ Add cayenne pepper for an extra spicy kick.
🎨 Substitute Dijon mustard or mustard powder for yellow mustard to vary the flavor.
❄️ Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks or freeze for up to three months for longer storage.
