🍗 This Greek Chicken Meatballs recipe features authentic herbs and spices that deliver bright, fresh flavors.
🍴 These lean, gluten-free meatballs are easy to prepare and pair beautifully with classic Mediterranean accompaniments for a wholesome meal.

Ingredients

– 2 pounds ground chicken

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

– 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

– 1/2 teaspoon ground oregano

– 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

– 1/4 cup chopped fresh dill

– 1/4 cup chopped fresh mint

– 1/4 cup finely diced red onion

– 4 cloves finely minced garlic

– 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest

– 1 tablespoon olive oil for frying

Instructions

1-First, mix 2 pounds of ground chicken with 1 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin, 1/2 teaspoon ground oregano, 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes, 1/4 cup chopped fresh dill, 1/4 cup chopped fresh mint, 1/4 cup finely diced red onion, 4 cloves finely minced garlic, and 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest in a bowl.

2-Shape the mixture into evenly sized meatballs, using a cookie scoop for uniformity and wetting your hands to prevent sticking.

3-Cook the meatballs in a skillet with 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat for 3-4 minutes per side until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and are nicely browned.

4-Alternatively, bake them at 400°F (204°C) for 15-20 minutes or air fry at 400°F for 10-12 minutes until cooked through.

5-Finish by serving the meatballs over chopped romaine lettuce, topped with feta cheese, cucumber, tomato, white rice, and tzatziki sauce for a complete meal.

Notes

⚖️ Use a cookie scoop for consistent meatball size and even cooking.
💧 Wet your hands when forming meatballs to prevent sticking.
🌿 Substitute dried herbs at 1 teaspoon dried for every 1 tablespoon fresh if needed.
