Description

πŸŽ„ Enjoy soft, flavorful gingerbread cookies perfect for holiday celebrations and cozy moments.
πŸͺ These cookies blend warm spices and molasses for a classic treat that’s both chewy and delicious.

Ingredients

– 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 1 cup granulated sugar

– 1 large egg

– 1/4 cup unsulphured molasses

– 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

– 2 teaspoons baking soda

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1 teaspoon cinnamon (can be increased to 2 teaspoons for stronger flavor)

– 1/2 teaspoon dried ground ginger (can be increased to 1-2 teaspoons for stronger flavor)

– granulated sugar for rolling dough balls

Instructions

1-First, preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

2-In one bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until it’s light and fluffy this takes about 2-3 minutes.

3-Then, add the egg and molasses, mixing well to blend everything smoothly for that signature flavor.

4-Next, in another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and ginger to evenly mix the dry goods.

5-Gradually stir the dry mix into the wet ingredients until you have a nice dough.

6-For an extra touch, roll the dough balls in granulated sugar before baking to add a sweet crunch.

7-Now, shape the dough into balls slightly smaller than a golf ball and space them 2-3 inches apart on your baking sheet.

8-Pop them in the oven for 10-12 minutes, and let them cool on the sheet for about 10 minutes before moving to a wire rack.

9-Once cooled, they’re ready to enjoy or share with friends.

Notes

🌟 No need to chill dough before baking for quick preparation.
