πŸ₯₯ This pie offers a perfect balance of textures and flavors, making it an irresistible treat for chocolate and coconut lovers alike.

Ingredients

– 1 round pie dough

– All-purpose flour for dusting

– 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

– 3 tablespoons salted butter

– 3 large eggs

– 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk

– 1 teaspoon kosher salt

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 3/4 cup chopped pecans, plus extra for topping

– 3/4 cup unsweetened shredded coconut, plus extra for topping

– Whipped cream for garnish

– Shaved chocolate for garnish

Instructions

1-Getting started with this German chocolate pie is a breeze, and following these steps will help you end up with a dessert that’s as tasty as it looks. First, preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and line a rimmed baking sheet with foil to catch any spills.

2-Next, on a surface dusted with all-purpose flour, roll the pie dough into a 12-inch circle and fit it into a 9-inch pie pan. Gently press and crimp the edges for a nice finish. While that’s ready, melt the 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips and 3 tablespoons salted butter in the microwave at 50% power, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.

3-Now, mix the melted chocolate with 3 large eggs, 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk, 1 teaspoon kosher salt, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract in a bowl. Stir in 3/4 cup chopped pecans and 3/4 cup unsweetened shredded coconut until everything blends well. Pour this filling into your prepared crust and place it on the baking sheet.

4-Bake until the top puffs slightly and the center is still a bit jiggly, which takes about 35-40 minutes. Once done, cool the pie completely on a wire rack for around 2 hours. Before serving, top it with whipped cream, extra chopped pecans, extra shredded coconut, and shaved chocolate for that extra flair.
