Ingredients

– 1 cup cooked rice

– 6 tablespoons unsalted butter

– 4 cloves minced garlic

– 12 to 16 ounces extra-large shrimp peeled and deveined

– ΒΌ cup shredded parmesan cheese

– 3 tablespoons milk can be skim, dairy, non-dairy, half-and-half, or heavy cream

– 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

– Salt to taste

– Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

1-First, melt 6 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add 4 cloves of minced garlic and sautΓ© until fragrant, about 1 minute, to build that signature garlic flavor.

2-Next, add the 12 to 16 ounces of extra-large shrimp (peeled and deveined) and cook until they turn pink, which takes about 2-3 minutes per side.

3-Once the shrimp is done, stir in 1 cup of cooked rice along with ΒΌ cup of shredded parmesan cheese, 3 tablespoons of milk, and 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley. Season the mixture with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste, then cook for 1 to 2 minutes until everything is creamy and heated through. For the final touch, garnish with additional shredded parmesan cheese and fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

🧈 Use unsalted butter to control saltiness and better balance flavors.
🍚 Use day-old cooked rice for better texture and fluffiness.
🍀 Cook shrimp just until pink to keep them tender and juicy.
