Instructions

1-Begin by preheating your oven to 400Β°F (204Β°C) and setting the rack in the center for even cooking. Pat the 5 chicken thighs dry with paper towels, then season them all over with salt and black pepper to bring out their natural flavors.

2-Next, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a 10-inch skillet over medium heat and place the chicken thighs skin-side down to sear for about 5 minutes. This step creates that irresistible crispy skin we all love, so flip them carefully and remove any extra fat with a spoon. Once that’s done, add 1/4 cup of unsalted butter to the skillet and let it melt, stirring in the 5 crushed garlic cloves for a fragrant touch be sure not to let it burn.

3-Now, transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for around 30 minutes, or until the chicken hits an internal temperature of 165Β°F (74Β°C). If the skin starts to get too dark, cover it with foil to keep things just right.
