Description

🍜 A comforting and nourishing soup that combines tender dumplings with savory broth in one satisfying bowl
πŸ₯Ÿ Perfect for cozy nights, this ramen soup delivers restaurant-quality flavor with simple ingredients and easy preparation

Ingredients

Scale

3 tablespoons oil

4 baby bok choy

2 medium shallots

8 ounces shiitake mushrooms

4 cloves garlic

1.5 inches fresh ginger

10 cups broth or stock

6 tablespoons tamari or soy sauce substitute

3 tablespoons rice vinegar

20 dumplings

5 ounces ramen noodles

Green onions, crushed red pepper, and black sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

1-First Steps: Prep and SautΓ© Start by heating the oil in a pot and sautΓ©ing the chopped baby bok choy until it softens. This step brings out its natural flavors and adds a nice texture. Once done, set it aside for later.

2-Building the Broth: Next, in the same pot, cook the diced shallots, sliced shiitake mushrooms, minced garlic, and grated ginger until they release their aroma. Add the broth, tamari or soy sauce substitute, and rice vinegar, then let it simmer to blend the tastes.

3-: While the broth simmers, cook the ramen noodles separately as per the package instructions. This keeps them from getting too soft in the soup.

4-Adding Dumplings and Finishing Up: Add the dumplings to the simmering broth and cook until they float, which means they’re ready. Return the cooked bok choy to the pot for the last few minutes. Portion the noodles into bowls and top with the soup, dumplings, and garnishes like green onions, crushed red pepper, and black sesame seeds.

Notes

🌱 Customize with gluten-free broth, dumplings, and noodles to accommodate dietary restrictions
πŸ„ Slice shiitake mushrooms thin for better texture, or chop finely for picky eaters
πŸ₯‘ Store components separately to maintain freshness when saving leftovers
