Ingredients
1 cup mashed ripe bananas
3/4 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking pan.
2. In a large bowl, mix together mashed bananas, light brown sugar, unsweetened applesauce, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.

5. Stir in 3/4 cup of chocolate chips, reserving the remaining 1/4 cup for topping.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle the reserved chocolate chips on top.
