– 1/4 cup unsalted butter, room temperature and cut into 4 pieces
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 3 cups all-purpose flour or bread flour
– 2 tablespoons melted unsalted butter mixed with 1 tablespoon honey for optional topping
Instructions
1-First, in a large mixing bowl, combine the warm milk and sugar to activate the instant yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy, which means your yeast is alive and ready. This step is crucial for getting that light and fluffy texture in your dinner rolls.
2-Next, add the egg, softened butter, and salt to the yeast mixture, stirring everything together until well blended. Gradually incorporate the flour, mixing continuously until a soft dough forms that pulls away from the sides of the bowl.
