🍽️ Perfect for family dinners or gatherings, bringing comfort and flavor with minimal effort.
Ingredients
2 pounds sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
4 large russet potatoes, diced
1 onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup beef broth
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
1. Season the steak cubes with salt, pepper, and paprika.
2. Layer diced potatoes and chopped onion at the bottom of the crockpot, followed by the steak.
3. Mix minced garlic, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and a pinch of salt and pepper, then pour over the meat and potatoes.
4. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the steak is tender and potatoes are soft.
5. Approximately 15 minutes before serving, sprinkle cheddar cheese on top, cover, and let it melt.
6. Serve hot, drizzled with sour cream and garnished with chopped green onions.
Notes
🕒 Larger potato chunks help retain shape during cooking.
🥩 Chuck roast or beef stew meat can be used as alternatives; however, sirloin offers more tenderness.
🥄 For a thicker gravy, remove meat and potatoes, mix 2 tablespoons of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons cold water, stir into the liquid, and cook on high for 15-20 minutes.
