Ingredients

Chuck roast (3-4 pounds)
Cola soda (1-2 cups)
Onion soup mix (1 packet)
Cream of mushroom soup (1 can)
Worcestershire sauce (2 tablespoons)
Carrots (2-3, chopped)
Potatoes (2-3, chopped)
Onions (1-2, sliced)
Garlic (2-3 cloves, minced)
Rosemary (1 teaspoon, optional)
Thyme (1 teaspoon, optional)
Salt (to taste)
Black pepper (to taste)

Instructions

1. Sear the chuck roast in a pan over medium-high heat until browned on all sides.
2. Place the seared roast in the slow cooker.
3. Add chopped onions, carrots, and potatoes around the roast.
4. In a bowl, mix cola soda, onion soup mix, cream of mushroom soup, and Worcestershire sauce.
5. Pour the mixture over the roast and vegetables in the slow cooker.
6. Cover and cook on LOW for 8-10 hours or on HIGH for 4-5 hours.
7. Check for tenderness; the meat should easily shred with a fork.
8. Remove the roast and shred or slice as desired.
9. Stir the liquid in the slow cooker to create a flavorful gravy.
10. Serve the roast with the vegetables and gravy over mashed potatoes or as sandwiches.
11. Store leftovers in an airtight container and use for sandwiches or other meals.

Notes

Sear the roast before placing it in the slow cooker to lock in flavor and create a richer taste.

Mix the cola with onion soup mix, cream of mushroom soup, and Worcestershire sauce before pouring it over the roast for even distribution of flavors.

Place the vegetables around the roast in the slow cooker to allow them to absorb the delicious juices while cooking.
