Description

🍤 Crispy golden wontons filled with succulent shrimp and fresh vegetables, perfect as an appetizer or snack
🥢 Versatile recipe that can be air-fried for a healthier option or deep-fried for traditional crunchiness

Ingredients

Scale

200 grams of shrimp for the main protein base

12 wonton wrappers for creating the crispy cone structure

1 cup of chopped lettuce for freshness and crunch

½ cup of preferred vegetables for additional texture and nutrients

1 teaspoon of garlic powder for seasoning

½ teaspoon of salt for enhancing taste

¼ teaspoon of black pepper for subtle spice

2 tablespoons of soy sauce for the dipping sauce

1 tablespoon of rice vinegar for tanginess

1 teaspoon of honey for sweetening

A pinch of chili flakes for extra flavor

Instructions

1-Step 1: First, prepare the shrimp by peeling and deveining them if necessary.

2-Step 2: Seasoning the shrimp includes using 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, ½ teaspoon of salt, and ¼ teaspoon of black pepper for a tasty boost.

3-Step 3: Sauté the shrimp in a lightly oiled pan over medium heat for 3-4 minutes until pink and cooked through, or consider air frying at 200°C (400°F) as a healthier alternative for that crispy texture.

4-Step 4: While the shrimp cooks, shape the wonton wrappers into cones and fill them with the shrimp salad mixture.

5-Step 5: Seal the edges carefully to prevent any leakage during cooking.

6-Step 6: You can then cook the filled cones by deep frying in hot oil or air frying at 200°C (400°F) for 8-10 minutes until they turn crispy and golden brown.

7-Step 7: Once done, serve them alongside the dipping sauce made from 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar, 1 teaspoon of honey, and a pinch of chili flakes for a balanced flavor.

Notes

🍤 Use fresh shrimp for the best flavor and texture – frozen shrimp can work but needs thorough thawing
🔥 Air frying reduces oil content significantly while maintaining crispiness – spray lightly with oil for better browning
🥢 Customize the vegetable filling based on preferences – bell peppers, water chestnuts, or bean sprouts work great
