Instructions

1-First, prepare the beef: Heat 1 tablespoon of neutral oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. SautΓ© 1 thinly sliced red onion until it’s translucent, about 2 minutes. Then add 4 minced garlic cloves and 1 inch of minced ginger; cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Next, add 1 lb of ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks, and brown it for 5-7 minutes until crispy bits form.

2-For the sauce: mix 3 tablespoons sweet Thai chili sauce, 2 tablespoons vegetarian oyster sauce, 2 tablespoons light soy sauce, 2 tablespoons rice vinegar, and 2 tablespoons sriracha in a small bowl. Pour this over the cooked beef, stir to coat, and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Add 1 tablespoon sesame oil in the last minute for extra aroma.

3-Finally, assemble the bowls: Place cooked jasmine rice in each bowl, top with the crispy beef mixture, add a fried egg, and garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Serve with steamed or charred vegetables like french beans for a fresh touch.
