1 garlic clove, minced
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, plus more for garnish
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, plus more for garnish
Kosher salt, to taste
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
2 plain bagels, halved


Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, combine softened cream cheese, chopped artichoke hearts, chopped spinach, 2/3 cup of the shredded mozzarella, Parmesan, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and crushed red pepper flakes. Season with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, then mix thoroughly until well combined.
3. Arrange the bagel halves cut side up on the prepared baking sheet. Spread an even layer of the spinach and artichoke mixture over each bagel half.
4. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella evenly on top of the spread mixture.
5. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the mixture is heated through. For a golden, bubbly finish, broil for an additional 1 to 2 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
