Taco seasoning
Garlic powder
Salt
Pepper
Cumin
Cream cheese (optional)
Evaporated milk (optional)
Additional cheese for garnish (optional)
Cilantro for garnish (optional)
Jalapeños for garnish (optional)

Instructions

1. Cook ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned, then drain excess fat.
2. Add diced onions and jalapeños to the skillet and sauté until softened.
3. Stir in taco seasoning, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and cumin for extra flavor.
4. Add diced tomatoes with green chiles and mix well.
5. Cut Velveeta cheese into cubes and add to the skillet, stirring as it melts.
6. If using, add cream cheese and evaporated milk to create a creamier texture.
7. Continue stirring until all ingredients are fully melted and combined.
8. Transfer the mixture to a slow cooker and cook on low for 2-3 hours, or keep it warm for serving.
9. Alternatively, simmer on the stovetop for 15-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
10. Adjust seasoning to taste and add hot sauce or spicy salsa if desired.
11. Garnish with additional cheese, cilantro, or sliced jalapeños.
12. Serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, or vegetables for dipping.
13. Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat before serving.

Notes

Let the dip simmer on low heat to allow the flavors to meld together perfectly.

Add a splash of evaporated milk to keep the cheese smooth and creamy as it cools.

For extra spice, mix in hot salsa or diced jalapeños to give it a bold kick.
