Description

🐟 Enjoy a quick and delicious Cajun Honey Butter Salmon that combines sweet and spicy flavors for a satisfying meal.
🍯 This one-skillet recipe offers a balance of protein and rich taste, perfect for busy weeknights and special occasions alike.

Ingredients

Scale

1 pound salmon filets (34 pieces)

1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning

2 tablespoons olive oil

1/4 cup salted butter, melted

1/4 cup honey or honey substitute

1/4 teaspoon Cajun seasoning

5 cloves fresh garlic, minced

Instructions

1-Season both sides of the salmon filets with 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning and set aside. Let it sit for a few minutes to soak up the spices.

2-Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Give it a swirl to coat the bottom evenly.

3-In a bowl, combine the melted butter, honey, 1/4 teaspoon Cajun seasoning, and minced garlic to make the sauce. Stir until smooth.

4-Place the salmon in the skillet skin side up and cook for about 3 minutes until browned. The edges should crisp nicely.

5-Flip the salmon and cook for another 3 minutes until the fish becomes opaque. Keep an eye on the color change.

6-Reduce the heat to medium-low and pour half of the sauce over the salmon in the last minute to gently heat and caramelize it. Watch the heat to avoid burning.

7-Remove from heat, pour the remaining sauce over the salmon, and optionally garnish with parsley and lemon slices. Serve right away.

Notes

πŸ”₯ Adjust seasoning intensity if using store-bought Cajun blends to suit your taste.
