Description

🍰 Enjoy a rich and indulgent dessert with the delightful flavors of creamy caramel and crunchy pecans in this Butter Pecan Praline Poke Cake.
🥄 This moist poke cake combines a buttery pecan base with a luscious sauce that seeps deep into every bite for a sweet treat you’ll love.

Ingredients

– 1 box (15 oz) butter pecan cake mix Forms the base for a rich, buttery texture.

– 1 can (16 oz) coconut pecan frosting Adds a creamy, nutty layer to enhance the praline flavor.

– 4 large eggs Help bind the ingredients and ensure the cake rises nicely.

– 3/4 cup vegetable or canola oil Provides moisture and keeps the cake tender.

– 1 cup milk Contributes to the cake’s soft, fluffy consistency.

– 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans Brings in that signature crunch and pecan taste for the praline effect.

– 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk Used in the sauce to create a sticky-sweet soak.

– 1/4 cup unsalted butter Melts into the sauce for extra richness.

Instructions

1-First, preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Mix 1 box (15 oz) of butter pecan cake mix with 1 can (16 oz) of coconut pecan frosting, 4 large eggs, 3/4 cup vegetable or canola oil, 1 cup milk, and 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans in a large bowl. Stir until well combined for a batter that’s ready to go.

2-Pour the batter into your prepared dish and bake for 30 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Once baked, let the cake cool slightly, then poke holes all over it using a fork. This step lets the sauce seep in deeply.

3-For the sauce, melt 1/4 cup unsalted butter over medium heat, stir in 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk, and simmer until smooth. Add another 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans, then pour it over the poked cake. Let it cool completely before serving to lock in that rich, sticky-sweet texture.

Notes

🍽️ Poke the holes evenly all over the cake to ensure the sauce distributes into every bite.
🥄 Use finely chopped pecans for both batter and sauce to spread the nutty flavor throughout the dessert.
❄️ Allow the cake to cool completely before slicing to keep the sauce from running and maintain the moist texture.
