Ingredients
12 sweet slider buns
8 large eggs
ΒΌ cup cream or milk
Β½ teaspoon kosher salt
Β½ pound breakfast sausage
8–10 slices sharp cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Β½ tablespoon maple syrup
Instructions
1-First Step: Prepare the Eggs Whisk together 8 large eggs, ΒΌ cup cream or milk, and Β½ teaspoon kosher salt in a bowl until well mixed. Pour the mixture into your prepared pan and bake for 13-16 minutes until it’s set but still tender. Once done, let it cool a bit and lift it out using the parchment paper for hassle-free handling.
2-Second Step: Cook the Sausage While the eggs are baking, cook Β½ pound of breakfast sausage in a pan over medium heat until it’s browned and fully cooked. Don’t forget to drain any excess grease to keep your sliders from becoming too oily. If you want to add a fun twist, like in our ham and cheese hash brown casserole, you could swap sausage for ham here.
3-Third Step: Assemble the Sliders Place the bottoms of the 12 sweet slider buns in a baking pan. Layer on the baked eggs, trimming them if needed to fit nicely, then add the cooked sausage and 8-10 slices of sharp cheddar cheese. Top with the bun halves to complete the stack. This assembly keeps everything balanced and easy to eat on the go.
4-Fourth Step: Add the Glaze and Bake Mix 2 tablespoons of melted unsalted butter with Β½ tablespoon of maple syrup, then brush it over the tops of the buns for a sweet, glossy finish. Cover the pan with foil and bake for 20 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for another 5 minutes until the cheese melts and the buns turn lightly golden. Let the sliders cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving warm it’s that easy!
Notes
π Sweet slider buns add a subtle sweetness that pairs perfectly with the maple glaze, but any slider buns can be used.
π₯ Baking the eggs in the same pan used for assembly creates fluffy, uniform egg layers and simplifies preparation.
π₯ To keep buns from getting soggy, brush on the maple glaze just before baking and cover the sliders with foil while baking.
