Description

🌯 This Easy Baked Burrito Casserole combines classic Tex-Mex flavors into a creamy, hearty dish that’s perfect for busy weeknights.
🧀 Layers of seasoned beef, beans, cheese, and tortillas make a comforting one-dish family favorite that’s simple to prepare.

Ingredients

– 1 lb ground beef Provides heartiness and protein

– 1 can refried beans Provides heartiness and protein

– 1/2 cup sour cream Creates creaminess and melt

– 2 1/2 cups shredded Mexican blend cheese Creates creaminess and melt

– 1 small onion, chopped Adds flavor and seasoning

– 1 pack taco seasoning Adds flavor and seasoning

Instructions

1-Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and get your ingredients ready by chopping the onion and opening cans to make assembly smooth.

2-Cook the 1 pound ground beef and 1 small onion in a skillet until the beef is no longer pink, then drain the fat for a healthier mix.

3-Stir in 1 pack taco seasoning and 1 can refried beans, heating everything through for that authentic flavor.

4-In a separate bowl, mix 1 can cream of mushroom soup (undiluted) with 1/2 cup sour cream to create a creamy base.

5-In a 9×13 inch baking dish, layer half the soup mixture, then add 3 large flour tortillas (cut or overlapped to fit), half the beef mixture, and about 1 cup of the 2 1/2 cups shredded Mexican blend cheese.

6-Repeat the layers with the remaining soup mixture, 3 more tortillas, the rest of the beef mixture, and the remaining 1.5 cups cheese for a bubbly finish.

7-Bake for about 20 minutes until the cheese melts and everything is warm and inviting. Let it rest a bit before serving.

Notes

🔥 Add canned green chilies or jalapeño peppers for extra heat and depth of flavor.
🧡 Use a 9×13 inch baking dish for even layering and best results.
⏰ This casserole is quick to assemble and perfect for weeknight dinners or family gatherings.
